Inspired by the land’s ancient Mayan heritage, Cihuatan originates from the only distillery in El Salvador and is a ‘true handcrafted’ aged rum. From cane to bottle the Cihuatan staff are involved in every stage of production and under the guidance of Gabriela Ayala, they ensure a top quality product is guaranteed every time.
Cihuatan Indigo is a rum crafted as an homage to Tlaloc, Mayan god of rain. Legend has it that the Sleeping Woman, guardian goddess of the Cihuatan valley, would intercede on behalf of the people of Cihuatan so that Tlaloc would make the valley bloom.
