Commercial Description

Don Papa Gayuma is a super premium rum that pays homage to the unique rituals performed by the shamans of Mt. Kanlaon and Isla del Fuego (?the Island of Fire?). It is aged in ex-bourbon American oak casks for three years, before going through a double barrel finish: 6 months in high toast ex-Rioja barrels followed by 3 months in rich, warming, and smoky toasted oak casks, which first held Scotch whisky from the legendary isle of Islay.

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Peaty
Mouth: Soft and delicate vanilla, light orange peel, deep cacao, and hints of cloves and mint.
Finish: Smokey and spicy
