Commercial Description

This small specialist Maison is family owned and managed by Florence Duchene and her husband Vincent. Florence herself, half Filipino and half French, was born into a family deeply rooted in the Champagne region, since 1874. After international travel, studies in foreign languages and viti-qualifications, it is Florence herself, who having returned to the family business in 2011, now tends the vines and makes the wines.
At Florence Duchene, they keep a relatively small amount of the harvested grapes for their own wine and sell the balance to other houses. Therefore, typically they do not buy in fruit.
The House is known for being Pinot dominant, for its low dosage regime at up to but not exceeding 6g/L and for ageing its wines en tirage for a minimum of five years before release.
