Glenmorangie Grand Vintage Malt 1997 is the seventh limited edition in the Highland Distillery?s Bond House No.1 vintage collection. Each whisky in the series is created from some of Glenmorangie?s most prized parcels of aged whisky, for
particularly delicious results. Dramatically different from any other Glenmorangie, this 23 year old limited edition showcases extraordinary berried depths, from whisky uniquely finished in rare Ch?teau Montrose red wine casks, from Saint Est?phe in Bordeaux. It is vivacious and floral, with spicy and candied aromas. 

Aroma: Astonishingly perfumed and filled with fruity complexity Soft notes of rose, jasmine and carnation entwine with ripe red fruits, mint toffee, cake mix and candied top notes. A splash of water reveals even more floral scents, subtly spiced with sweet chilli clove and ginger.

Palate: Spice tingles on the palate with a symphony of candy sweet tastes and more soft red fruits Pineapple chunks flow into pears and mandarin pieces in jelly Then ginger and sweet chilli return, swirled with almond marzipan and vanilla toffee apples. 

Finish: Long and rich, with a final suggestion of sugared sweetness and the merest hint of spice .
